Yusuf Tahir - ignore him, he is not a serious candidate
A number of people are coming here looking for information on Yusuf Tahir. He should be ignored. I visited the AEC office for Bennelong (the Chatswood office) on Friday and discovered this unendorsed candidate is not local to Bennelong. In fact he is registered to vote in the northern New South Wales seat of New England - a long way from the electorate he nominated for. At least one of the other candidates has managed to find out more, though - it seems Tahir nominated solely because he wanted to use the election to promote his web site, then thought better of it and decided to lie low. It is a shame he did not think better of it before nominating - nominating for collateral purposes in this way is disgraceful conduct.
Tahir's nomination is not about the election at all - it is election spam.

G'day all my name is Victor Waterson I ran in the seat of Bennelong for the ONE NATION party.I do believe approx 6 of the candidates of the 13 who ran do / did not live in the electorate. I have lived in Epping for 42 yrs. These people I believe should not have been allowed to run in this seat . Roll on 2010 . Regards Victor
